Algeria welcomed, today, Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Houari Boumediene International Airport in Algiers, the third and final group of children from the national community residing in France and a number of European countries, as part of the implementation of the national program approved by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, which allocates 2,000 spots for children and young people from the national community living abroad to participate in summer camps.

This group comprises 578 children and young people, who will be distributed among vacation and recreation centers in the provinces of Algiers, Boumerdès, Oran, Bejaia, and Jijel to participate in a comprehensive educational, cultural, and recreational program throughout their stay.

This program is part of the joint cooperation and coordination between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, represented by the State Secretariat for the National Community Abroad, and the Ministry of Youth, with the full support of the relevant diplomatic and consular missions, which contributed to preparing the initiative and overseeing its various stages, thereby ensuring the best possible conditions for welcoming and caring for our compatriots residing abroad during their stay.

The 2026 program for members of the national community residing abroad includes three summer camp sessions, benefiting 2,000 children and young people, with 16 flights scheduled to transport participants and 8 reception and assembly centers designated, while the camps are distributed across seven coastal provinces, allowing participants to benefit from a comprehensive educational program that combines historical, cultural, tourist, and recreational elements.

The program also includes artistic and creative workshops and activities, as well as programs for socializing and cultural exchange, thereby enriching the participants’ experience.
