Algeria-Russia: Signing of the Declaration of In-depth Strategic Partnership and several agreements and memoranda of understanding between the two countries

MOSCOW - The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, accompanied by the President of the Federation of Russia, Mr. Vladimir Putin, supervised, on Thursday in Moscow, the signing ceremony of the declaration of the in-depth strategic partnership between the two countries, in addition to several agreements, memoranda of understanding and work programs between the Algerian and Russian governments.

At the beginning of the signing ceremony, which took place at the Kremlin Palace, the two presidents signed the declaration of an in-depth strategic partnership between Algeria and the Russian Federation.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, and the Russian Minister of Justice, Konstantin Chuchenko, signed an extradition agreement between the two countries.

Mr. Etaf and the Russian Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Public Communications, Mr. Maqsoud Shdaev, also signed an agreement between the governments of the two countries, on cooperation in the field of public communications.

The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr. Mohamed Hani, and the Russian Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Dmitry Patrushev, signed an agreement between the governments of the two countries in the field of plant protection.

For her part, the Minister of Culture and Arts, Ms. Soraya Moloudji, and the Russian Minister of Culture, Mrs. Olkhalo Binova, signed a cooperation program between the two ministries for the period 2023-2025.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, and the Russian Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Mr. Alexander Koslov, signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of water resources.

Mr. Ahmed Attaf and the Russian Minister of Justice, Mr. Konstantin Chuchenko, also signed a memorandum of cooperation between the Ministries of Justice of the two countries.

The Ambassador of Algeria to the Russian Federation, Ismail Ben Amara, and the Director General of the Russian State Company Roscosmos, Yuri Borisov, signed an agreement between the two governments on cooperation in the exploration of outer space for peaceful purposes.

Finally, the President of the Council for the Renewal of the Algerian Economy, Mr. Kamel Moula, and the President of the Russian social organization "Russia Business", Mr. Alexei Rebek, signed a cooperation agreement between the two organizations.
