Mr. Chaib participates in the high-level round table of the UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.

The Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs for National Community Abroad, Sofiane Chaib, stressed in Awaza, Turkmenistan, the need to provide a technical and technological support to landlocked developing countries (LLDCs), to raise their contribution to the global value chains (GVCs).
Chaib took part in a high-level round table held as part of the UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs) in Awaza, themed Seizing the transformative potential of trade, trade facilitation and regional integration for landlocked developing countries.
In an address at the conference, the Secretary of State highlighted the necessity to work in a spirit of solidarity and cooperation and provide technical and technological support to those countries, to increase their contribution to the global chain values.
Chaib mentioned Algeria's efforts, in its areas of influence, to actively participate in infrastructure projects aimed at opening up landlocked African countries.
Algeria, which has always advocated for the establishment of a fair and balanced global economic system, is now striving to take decisive action to stabilise global markets for essential commodities, particularly energy.
