Today, the Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the National Community Abroad, Mr. Sofiane Chaib, participated via videoconference in the celebration of the Amazigh New Year 2976 organized by the Algerian Consulate in Montpellier in coordination with community actors in the city of Alès.

In his speech on this occasion, the Secretary of State said that this event is part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' commitment to dedicating a year of communication with our community abroad. He pointed out that the program organized for the Amazigh New Year by our diplomatic and consular representatives aims to respond to the cultural, linguistic, and identity concerns of our community abroad, in line with their attachment to their homeland and the components of national identity.

In a related context, the Secretary of State highlighted the special nature of this year's celebration for the national community living abroad, which was involved in the sixth edition of the President of the Republic's Prize for Amazigh Literature and Language, thanks to the fruitful cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the High Commission for Amazigh.

The Secretary of State also highlighted the efforts made by the Ministry to launch initiatives aimed at strengthening the community's ties with the various components of national identity, reviewing the significant progress made by the State in promoting Amazigh as a fundamental pillar of our unifying national identity, in accordance with the instructions of the country's highest authorities, which have consistently emphasized the importance of preserving and promoting the various dimensions of national identity.
